Thank you! I have always felt Siva plays a special but mysterious role in my life, since I had a dream, as a young adult, about him dancing up some stairs I was walking on - at the time I had no conscious recollection of ever having seen a picture of Siva and didn’t learn about who he is until many years later. In my dream he appeared to be feminine, though. The golden statues I’ve seen subsequently also look feminine - he was golden in the dream
About dancing Siva, There is a temple specially dedicated to him at Chidambaram in India. Nearly life sized statue made out of a mixture of five metals is being worshipped there, which Looks like gold. In a close by spot it is said, that he danced with kali for a dance competition among them. It is a place where dead bodies used to be burnt. There is another statue depicting both of them together , half, half. It is called Arthanari meaning half woman and half man. This may be the reason you come across viewing differently.
Thank you Sanmugan, sounds like an amazing temple! Yes, who knows - certainly, as I’ve shared with you before, I feel a connection with Kali too - previous lives, maybe?
